GREEN SMOOTHIE

We don't know why it took us so long to post one of our favourite breakfasts of all time - "Green Smoothie" as we believe green smoothies are the healthiest fast food for all of us.
The spinach taste gets mild (in-fact you don't get to know its spinach) in the smoothie as it contains fruits. For that extra creaminess add a scoop full of avocado (healthy fats), you may also add peanut butter/ almond butter. So, when your kids are picky in eating green leafy vegetables this smoothie is perfect to make them love it & be the poster boy "POPEYE".
⌚ Prep: 10 minutes No Cook Total Time: 10 minutes
- INGREDIENTS
🔸1 - banana (frozen)
🔸1/2 - avocado (frozen)
🔸1 cup - cabbage (roughly chopped)
🔸1 tsp - flax seeds
🔸1 tsp - chia seeds
🔸1 cup - spinach leaves (washed & frozen)
🔸1 cup - cucumber
🔸1 tbsp - lemon juice
🔸coconut water/ normal water - (depending upon the consistency required)
🔸ice cubes (optional)
- INSTRUCTIONS
1. Freeze leafy greens & fruits in a freezer-safe bag couple of hours before.
2. Add the spinach, cabbage, flax & chia seeds, lemon juice & coconut juice or water to a
blender and blend well.
3. Now add banana, avocado, cucumber, 1-2 ice cubes (optional) and blend again until
smooth.
4. Pour into a mason jar or any cup of your choice and sip it!
TIP: blend leafy greens and liquid-base first. Then add fruits & blend again.
You can make a switch to reusable steel straws since they are easy to carry/clean and environment friendly. We got ours from Amazon (the Bulfyss Store) in case you wish to know.
