GREEK TZATZIKI SAUCE WITH GARLIC AND DILL

It’s a refreshing chilled thick and creamy sauce/dip. A delicious dip for veggies and grilled chicken or meat.

⌚ Prep: 10 minutes          No cook

What is Tzatziki sauce? Its  a classic Greek sauce made from yoghurt. The recipe is simple and quick.

  • INGREDIENTS

🔸1 cup - homemade curd/yoghurt

🔸1 tsp - olive oil

🔸1/2 cup - fresh herbs (dill)

🔸2 cloves - garlic (grated)

🔸1/4 cup - lemon juice

🔸1/4 tsp - black pepper (freshly grounded)

🔸salt (to taste)

  • INSTRUCTIONS

1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk. check for seasoning & Add more dill, lemon, garlic or salt/pepper if you wish!

2. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Dollop it generously on your food without adding a lot of calories (unlike, mayonnaise or ranch dressing). 

Tip: feel free to experiment with your own amounts of each ingredient! Also if you are looking for vegan version of this sauce then just use coconut milk yoghurt in place of Greek yoghurt.

Homemade is always better than canned/frozen 😊
